Healthy stomachs and clean water

Impact_Story_11
Dear UBS,

Thank you so much for supporting Divine Waters Uganda (DWU)! Many people in Uganda fight every day over water to sustain their everyday needs. Your contributions helped install a bio-sand water filter in the community of someone like Mrs. Ogweng.

Mrs. Ogweng wanted to thank you personally. She says that this bio-sand filter made life so much better. They are now drinking clean water compared to the stream water which they used to drink. They no longer have upset stomachs - diarrhea has disappeared from their village because of your generosity.

Thank you, Friedman Group at UBS, for supporting someone like Mrs. Ogweng through DWU!

This water jar came to us at the right time — when we wanted it most. My grandfather is too old and cannot go far to the borehole. Now, he can collect this water any time. I thank God so much [for this water jar]. Be blessed.

I am Wilbert, the L.C.1 (local government official) of Acan Pe Winyo Abwote, a village in Uganda. Since this well was constructed three months ago, such cases have greatly reduced. Thank you, Katie, for your kindness. We shall do every thing within our means to ensure the sustainability of this new resource.

Impact_Story_8
Dear Katie, Hardeep, Adrian, Holly, Bryan, Samrawit, Sophia, Holly, and Lauren,

Thank you all for coming together to support Beatress Oola and her community in Uganda. 13 million people in their country do not have access to a reliable source of water. Divine Waters Uganda both builds and repairs wells to bring water to rural Ugandans.

The gift you have given to this community will give back for years to come. Oola wanted to thank you personally: “This water jar is serving more than 20 households. It allows us to save the little money that we have been spending to buy tap water. I am so grateful. We clean this jar every four weeks so it continues to provide healthy, safe water.”

Thank you Katie, Hardeep, Adrian, Holly, Bryan, Samrawit, Sophia, Holly, and Lauren. Your efforts will ensure Beatress and her community can avoid dangerous water-borne diseases.

Vincent has access to clean water

Impact_Story_39
Dear Hardeep and Katie,

Thank you so much for supporting Divine Waters Uganda! Your contributions helped build a well to support Vincent and his community.

Here is Vincent’s story in his own words — the people from other villages would reproach us when we tried to go to get water from their sources. They would say that we should go and drink our dirty, unprotected spring and leave their water. I am happy now that our village also owns this borehole.

Thank you Katie and Hardeep! 13 million people in Uganda do not have access to a reliable source of water, but because of your efforts, that number is slightly smaller.
