Connie is a girl of 16 years of age. She studied up to third grade, but had to leave school as her family was unable to afford it. Connie dealt with many hardships as a child and was forced to move many times. Right now, she is living with her father§s sister. Her father passed away last October.
There are six people in the home where Connie now lives, and she is responsible for collecting water for the family. Before the borehole was drilled in her village, Connie spent all day collecting water. There were many risks in collecting water, including being buried by collapsed soil from the cliffs around the water source. Some days, Connie would return home without any water.
Thanks to your generous donations, Divine Waters Uganda was able to build a well in the community Connie lives in, a village called Alam in northern Uganda. A special thank you goes to Christina who supported water for 8 people in this community.
